THE NEW ALBUM

Rebellion has a unique salsa sound that is kind of tough to define, though easy to hear. Basically, both the vocal and instrumental work fall somewhere between standard salsa sonerismo and the lusher, but still feisty arrangements of salsa romantica.  Introducing any of the improvisational elements that give salsa, as a genre, its heat and flavor. Specializing in both smooth, romantic ballads and sensual salsas, the vocals, arrangements, and even the percussion section are incredibly smooth and  strong at the same time. The result is fresh and original. The musicianship is consistently solid, you definitely want to hear it again and again.

Janio Coronado and Rafi Narváez deliver soaring, electrifying vocals filled with passion, brilliance, and the unmistakable spirit of authentic salsa. With extraordinary vocal ranges, exceptional improvisational skills, and an explosive chemistry, these two remarkable soneros bring Colombian and Venezuelan musical traditions together. The Rebellion is undoubtedly destined to be one of the finest salsa records of 2027.
